I’ve definitely got some monstrous shoes to fill after Lev’s post below, a brutally honest and factual statement about the issues surrounding dance music today. I’ll be quite frank with you, I am so disappointed in the releases this summer and with the rate at which this industry is becoming saturated. I am praying for a two month hiatus where all these DJs, from the A-list all the way down, stop doing the same shitty show every night and get back into the studio to give us well drafted, fresh beats. No more half assed tracks that sound like what my 8 year old cousin is capable of on GarageBand. Thank you people. Now to the music. Leventina is a group of gentlemen who have impressed me with their work the past few months, with their remix of EDX and the breathtaking Nadia Ali coming to the forefront of that list. This track is fire, it’s got a plethora of sounds and unique noises that compliments its catchy baseline perfectly. Also, David Jones dropped a spectacular cut of Jason Mraz’s ”I Won’t Give Up”, which is currently blaring all over the soft rock stations across America. I must admit, I am a huge Jason Mraz fan. We’ll leave it at that.
