I am really looking forward to this post. Got 3 cuts that are way beyond, or should I say, behind their years. Phil Collins, Sting/The Police, and Kim Carnes should get you on your toes. Was Phil Collins better or worse than Peter Gabriel? Well, we will never get to the bottom of that, but there is one thing that’s for certain – Christian Bale could not have made Phil’s music sound any creepier than he did while playing the narcissistic Patrick Bateman in the acclaimed film American Psycho. Sting, well this man apparently swears by the use of tantra as the means to bedroom enlightenment. On another note, his voice is considered one of the greatest to have ever existed within the realm of rock n’ roll. Finally, Kim Carnes. Can’t say much about this gal besides that “Bette Davis Eyes” is super catchy. Take these three artists and inject tech, progressive, and deep, and Boom! You’re in for a flashback. Cheers.
