Welcome back from the weekend wonderland known as EDC, guys. Exhausted? Take a break, you’ve most definitely earned it. But don’t rest for too long– new music waits for no one.
Not even two weeks after the release of his remix of Bella’s “Nobody Loves Me,” Hardwell drops two more tracks for us lucky ducks. Both are progressive tunes, the first a remix that combines the calming vocals of female duo Rebecca & Fiona with an energetic beat, which, to be honest, sounded a bit odd at first, but grew on me after a few listens.
The second track is, according to the man himself, “a mix of melodic house, progressive and a pinch of trance.” Big bass means this was made for big rooms. I’m kicking myself in the ass for having missed most of his set Friday at Avalon, because it would have been the perfect opportunity to hear this live and not on laptop speakers… The sweet swelling of music that kicks in around 5:30 takes this from a swaying-of-the-hands song to a full-on out-of-body experience. But hey, press play and find out for yourself. Easy does it.
