Finale – Madeon

The hypnotic legend of Madeon’s ascent to stardom at age 16 is enough to attract me to his work, but when he continues to churn out emotive and innovative nu-disco (with a flair of electro) tracks time after time, you know he’s the real deal. The difficulty in creating such popular tracks is the rise of haters. If a release doesn’t live up to the magnitude of the prior release, well then the artist is either going “mainstream”, or “lost their touch”, or maybe even is a “one hit wonder”. Thankfully we can dispel those convictions in the case of Madeon. Trying to follow up with something as good as “Icarus” is a daunting task, but Madeon brought the effin’ noise. Couldn’t be more pleased with his newest installment dropping on July 22. Cheers.
