I’m warning everyone that this is going to be one of my more incoherent posts. I’ve been stressed out lately, juggling my beavers, internship, and TutorsOnCampus (if you go to school in DC, keep an eye out for it in the fall). For me, one of the best ways to deal with stress is to listen to really dope music, regardless of the genre. If a track can take you to another place, even if its just for a few minutes, I think its done its job. One of the worst things about not living on a college campus over the summer is that I can’t play my music as loud as I’d like. So these tracks help me transcend the decibels of my MacBook Pro and carry me somewhere else for the time being.
Over the years, The Netherlands has produced countless talented Artists and DJ’s; DJ Chaosz is another to add to the list. Unfortunately, I do not speak Dutch, so I can’t really make heads or tails of his Twitter and Myspace but his Website has a link to his Youtube page, and all of the aforementioned sites.
Also, the UK’s very own DJ duo that goes by the name STEEP, a recent, but nonetheless, top DJ duo on my list, has been busy in the studios creating some aurally pleasing products for us all. I’m a big fan of their new STEEP Summer Festival Mix which can be found on his SoundCloud, as well as on their MySpace, which also has an option to support the artists by buying the music.
My life isn’t exactly the most interesting, but check out my Twitter; I plan to start updating it with upcoming concerts and venues within the boroughs.
PS, I wasn’t lying about the dysfunctionality…is that even a real word?
