New Mau5

Look, there is so much to say about Deadmau5 I literally have no idea where to start. Maybe one could look at his blatant stance on many of the issues surrounding EDM (i.e. “button-pushers”), or how he is able to refine the industrial nature of his sound and release tracks like “The Veldt” (totally redeemed himself on that one), or how he’s reinvented the science behind a live show performance by incorporating technologies that I don’t even think NASA was aware of, or how he is one of the most mysterious characters in the EDM scene. Joel has a presence, and it is felt, heard, and listened to on nearly every level of the EDM movement. His releases are met with high anticipation, and critics love to eat up his noise. But at the end of the day, Joel has certainly in no way, shape, or form conformed his philosophy on the whole shibang, especially in sound. It’s undeniable that Deadmau5 is just about the most authentic act in the game. His newest releases follow in the same vein. Are they as good as some of his older stuff? Debatable. Here are my two favorite. Cheers.
