Hurricane of Releases

Yes I am aware there is a hurricane approaching the South East coast, thus this post is a tribute to all followers bracing themselves for Isaac’s wrath.  We wish you the best.  Today, Monday August 27, 2012, saw an avalanche of brand new music fresh off the plates of the industries largest names. Dirty South, Alesso, Fedde Le Grand, Nicky Romero, Dada Life, Avicii, Nervo, Hook N Sling, Michael Calfan, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and many others made their most recent work public today. Thank the sweet lord for this day, as I was beginning to lose hope in the capabilities of the mainstream guys’ dedication to the studio. I chose my favorite two of the bunch to share with you people, as I, like many of you, prepare for my first visit to Electric Zoo this upcoming weekend.  Alesso and Dirty South’s “City of Dreams” is the equivalent of a ballad in modern pop dance music.  Dada Life’s “Feed The Dada” is quite the contrary.  Despite being opposite ends of the spectrum, both handle the job for the crowd they are intended to handle.  Go get your hands on all of these releases, acquiring them via Beatport of course.
