Helix

Easily, easily, so freakin’ easily one of my favorite producers right now. Gesaffelstein brings techno to an entire new level. If my music theory serves me correct, it sounds like many of his productions are in the minor key, making them eerily haunting as he has so intricately crafts a sound that plays on heavy-stepping beats and out of key hooks. If it makes any sense, everything this guy makes you certainly haven’t heard anywhere else. I also can definitely hear some Daft Punk influence in the mix. Take a good hard listen, because this cat has to be one of the most innovatively refreshing acts out there. THERE IS HOPE!! And for god sakes, if any of you idiots try to turn one of his productions into some bootleg StepTrapDubStarTrickTrackFritosStepTrackStepDubNetandStep I’m done. Cheers.
