Adele – Set Fire to the Rain (Thomas Gold Remix)

Back in the day, I bet you a couple million wompum that Adele never thought her commanding voice would be the ingredient for dance floor shattering house remixes worldwide. Nahhh no chance. Well to her delight she seems to be the focal point of every remix producer in the game right now. If “Rolling in the Deep” wasn’t enough, “Set Fire to the Rain” is proving worthy, especially when Thomas Gold is in the mix. This track is too big for words. Chorus literally causes your ears to lactate. The man from Munich is really climbing the charts these days (thanks to Pete Tong supporting this track to the fullest on BBC 1). Nowadays, if a track is played on BBC1, it seems to be the trademark of success/stamp of approval. Cheers.

Edit: After listening to this song time and time again, I firmly can state the vocal portion of this song starting at 1:55 is easily one of the best segments of any electronic song I’ve ever heard in my entire life. Carry on.
